Blake R. Jeffery, Inc. Association Management & Governmental AffairsConsulting Services 9/99 to present	Founder/President, Blake R. Jeffery, CAE initiated governmental affairs/association management firm to address client needs including: lobbying, legislative monitoring, regulatory representation, and all aspects of membership management/ communications. Primary client: Indiana Cast Metals Association (INCMA). As Executive Director of INCMA – responsible for running 75 member association/16 member board of directors including: financial management, member communications including website creation/development, seminar/golf outing/meeting planning, membership campaigns, multiple committees, political direction and general issue development. Additional clients: Indiana Medical Device Manufacturers Council (IMDMC). As Director of the IMDMC – responsible for managing 55 member Council/12 member board of directors including financial management, extensive educational program development and marketing, website building and maintenance, database management, and all aspects of membership development. The Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana (GASI). As Executive Director of GASI – responsible for running 250 member society/18 member board of directors including event planning and management/database management/ publication development and general administrative matters.
Bose Public Affairs Group 6/07 to 5/08	Vice President, Association Management – responsible for executive management of seven state and national association clients with assistance from a five person staff. Client budgets ranged from $30,000 to $400,000 and memberships from 250 – 650 individuals. Worked directly with each Board of Directors to implement agendas including website management, newsletters, financial oversight, audits, all event planning, publications, directories and all other needs as requested.
Indiana Manufacturers Association 9/93 to 9/99	Director of Environmental Affairs- responsible for lobbying state legislative/executive branches, Congress, and U.S. EPA on behalf of nearly 2,000 members. Managed 150-member policy committee. Shared responsibility for political action committee fundraising/decision-making. Developed publications, speeches, seminars and newsletters. Provided compliance assistance and managed legislative assistant/intern.
Indiana Chamber of Commerce 4/92 to 9/93	Director of Environmental Policy- responsible for management of environmental division including legislative/regulatory lobbying, research and member education. Initiated issue publications, monthly newsletter, awards program and aggressive speaking/seminar schedule.
The Association for Commercial Real Estate,Arlington, VA 1/90 to 3/92	Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs- promoted from Director of State & Local Affairs, responsible for total development and implementation of state and local legislative program in support of 70 local chapters and federal public affairs effort.
National Association of Counties, Washington D.C. 7/88 to 1/90	Research Associate – responsible for initiation of research and analysis for county government and community and economic development issues. Staffed National Council of Elected County Executives.
Indiana Department of Human Services 1/87 to 7/88	Agency Grants Coordinator- responsible for executive level research, proposal development, and coordination among seven major service divisions. Developed grant applications for more than $3,100,000 impacting homelessness, aging, daycare and community development.
Indiana Governor’s Fellowship 7/85 to 1/87	One of ten graduates selected by Governor Robert Orr to individually work with state agencies for one year. Allowed the opportunity to participate in management, policy development and general process. Assignments included: Governor’s 1986 legislative staff, Health Professions Bureau, and Department of Environmental Management.
